This page enables members to access and download all our Albany Art Group essential documents, including Membership Application and Renewal forms, and it is kept updated with any changes made to these.
The AAG Constitution was updated in late 2017 to comply with the new WA State Government Model Rules for all Associations, under the Incorporated Associations Act 2015. The AAG Constitution is now a standard document which has been lodged with the Department, as required, and it will not change further.
However, the By-Laws are designed to enable changes to be made to the specific composition and functioning of the Albany Art Group, through the will of the Members. This is now a very flexible process which is simply done through the group itself, with no fees or legal process involved... Any proposed changes will be formulated by Committee, sent out to Members for comment, voted on at a General Meeting, Minuted, and then (if passed) these changes are written into the By-Laws by our Secretary.
The By-Laws govern the day-to-day running of the group.
Membership is open to Visual Artists from the wider Albany area, by Application, and with Sponsorship from a current Member. Fees are currently $55p.a, $30 half year. You are encouraged to attend three trial activities before applying for Membership, in order to understand the group and get to know some of our existing Members. Application forms are below, and your completed form should be returned to our Membership Officer on [email protected].
If accepted, Members are expected to fully support the AAG’s Aims and Objectives, to actively assist the Committee with the running and promotion of the AAG, and to attend Members Meetings whenever possible. Albany Art Group is totally self-funded, and run entirely by our team of dedicated volunteers. Input from Members is essential to the groups continuing success, and indeed to its existence.
